Changing DNS at Mijndomein
At Hosting.NL, we think it’s important that you can use your services as quickly and easily as possible. Even if you have some of your services running with another provider.
For example, it is possible that you purchase a service from us (such as Web hosting or Hosted Zimbra) but prefer to leave your domain name with Mijndomein. After your order, we will then send you instructions to make a DNS change at Mijndomein. This is necessary to establish the correct connection between your domain name (with Mijndomein) and the service you purchase from us.
But what if you have no idea how this works? No problem! We have figured this out for you and when you follow the steps below you can get started with the product you recently ordered from us in no time.
Mijndomein
Log in to Mijndomein’s Control Panel.
- Go to ‘My domains’
- Choose ‘Settings’ for the domain name you want to edit
- Then click on ‘Set DNS’
- An overview with the existing DNS records appears
- 1. Modify existing record (if the record already exists):
– Modify an existing record by clicking on the ‘pencil’ icon
– Under ‘Content’, enter the IP address of Hosting.NL.*
– Click on ‘Save’
2. Add new record (if the record does not already exist):
– Add a new record by clicking on the ‘green plus‘ icon at the bottom of the table
– Under ‘Subdomain’, enter the name of the (sub)domain name
– Select the correct record type
– At ‘Value’, enter the IP address of Hosting.NL*
– Click on ‘Save’ - The (new) DNS record is reachable after indexing and will point to Hosting.NL’s server.
* The IP address of Hosting.NL can be found in the delivery email you received when ordering the service.
Prefer all your services under one roof?
