A DNS zone log is a kind of history book of all changes made to your DNS settings. It can help in troubleshooting issues.

Why is a DNS zone log useful?

As an end customer (the domain owner), you can use a DNS zone log to:

• Trace back changes if something goes wrong.
• Identify errors if your website or email suddenly stops working.
• Improve security by detecting suspicious changes.

How to view the DNS zone log

Follow the instructions below to access the DNS log. The log can be accessed in the following way:

1. Log in to My Hosting.NL ↗
2. Click on My domain names
3. On the relevant domain name
4. Click on DNS Management
5. Click on the magnifying glass icon

A CSV file will now be downloaded showing all the changes.
