Updating the PHP version of your website

To ensure that a Web site keeps up with the times, it is important that you regularly update the PHP version to a newer version. Changing the PHP version may affect the operation of your website. On this page, we distinguish two ways to change the PHP version.

Option 1: Test first

Option 2: Update and test afterwards

Do you estimate that the consequences of changing the PHP version are manageable? Then follow the steps below to change the PHP version:

  1. Log in to your My Hosting account
  2. Click on Services
  3. Click on the appropriate subscription
  4. Click Login to the Plesk control panel
  5. Click on PHP settings
  6. Under , select the appropriate php version
  7. Then click OK at the bottom of the page
