Import Mailbox

Follow the steps in the manual below to import your mailbox. If your email client is not in the list, please contact our service desk. You need a backup of a mailbox to import it. Read here how to export your mailbox.

Microsoft Outlook:

1. Open ‘Outlook’.
2. Open the ‘File’ menu.
3. Click ‘Open’.
4. Click ‘Import/Export’.
5. Select ‘Import from another program or file’.
6. Click “Next.
7. Select ‘Outlook Data File (.pst)‘.
8. Click “Next.
9. Click ‘Browse’.
10. Click ‘Desktop’.
11. Click on the mailbox export (the default name is: backup.pst).
12. Click ‘Open’.
13. Click “Next.
14. Click ‘Finish’.
15. The mailbox is now imported.

Apple Mail

1. Click ‘File’
2. Click ‘Import Mailboxes’.
3. Select a source from the list, read the information below the list and click ‘Continue’.
4. If you want to import a mailbox that was exported with Mail or if you want to import a folder from the ‘~/Library/Mail/V5’ folder on another Mac, choose ‘Apple Mail’.
5. If you are importing messages from a Windows computer, select ‘Files in mbox format’ and locate the folder containing the files.
6. You can optionally display the imported messages differently.
7. The messages are in the Mail navigation column, in a new mailbox named ‘Imported’. You can drag folders and messages from the ‘Imported’ mailbox to new or existing mailboxes and then delete the ‘Imported’ mailbox.

Microsoft Outlook 2010:

1. Open ‘Outlook 2010’.
2. Open the ‘File’ menu.
3. Click ‘Open’.
4. Click ‘Import’.
5. Select ‘Import from another program or file’.
6. Click “Next.
7. Select ‘Outlook Data File (.pst)’.
8. Click “Next.
9. Click ‘Browse’.
10. Click ‘Desktop’.
11. Click on the mailbox export (the default name is: backup.pst).
12. Click ‘Open’.
13. Click “Next.
14. Click ‘Finish’.
15. The mailbox is now imported.

Microsoft Outlook 2013:

1. Open ‘Outlook 2013’.
2. Open the ‘File’ menu.
3. Click ‘Open’.
4. Click ‘Import/Export’.
5. Select ‘Import from another program or file’.
6. Click “Next.
7. Select ‘Outlook Data File (.pst)’.
8. Click “Next.
9. Click ‘Browse’.
10. Click ‘Desktop’.
11. Click on the mailbox export (the default name is: backup.pst).
12. Click ‘Open’.
13. Click “Next.
14. Klik op ‘Voltooien’.
15. The mailbox is now imported.
