Link Nextcloud to a VPS with OnlyOffice Docs

Don’t want to use Microsoft365 or Google Suite word processors? Then you can use Nextcloud in combination with OnlyOffice! Follow the steps below to link Nextcloud to your own VPS with OnlyOffice Docs.

Supplies:

1. A VPS with Nextcloud
2. A VPS with OnlyOffice Docs

Here’s how to link Nextcloud to a VPS with OnlyOffice Docs

1. Open the Nextcloud web interface
2. Go to Apps
   • Install the OnlyOffice app
   • Make sure the Nextcloud Office app is disabled
3. Open the Administrator Settings
   1. In the left menu, click on OnlyOffice
      1. Under OnlyOffice Docs address, enter the SSL-protected subdomain (see Getting Started on a VPS with OnlyOffice Docs)
      2. Under Secret key, enter the secret key (see Getting started with a VPS with OnlyOffice Docs)
         1. Click on Advanced server settings
            • Under Authorization header, enter the following: AuthorizationJWT and then click Save

You can now create and edit files in Nextcloud via your own VPS with OnlyOffice Docs!
