Activate a valid SSL certificate on your Nextcloud VPS

A Nextcloud VPS is installed with a self-signed SSL certificate by default. Follow the steps below to install a valid (Let’s Encrypt) SSL certificate.

Here’s how to activate a valid Let’s Encrypt SSL certificate

1. Order a Nextcloud VPS
2. Make sure a domain name points to the IP of your Nextcloud VPS
3. Next, connect to your VPS via SSH
4. Run the command below and follow the instructions

sudo nextcloud.enable-https lets-encrypt
