How do I set up an automatic or absence message?

Going on vacation or a time off? Then, of course, you would like those who mail you to know about it. In Plesk, they call this an Automatic Reply. Here’s how to activate it.

Follow the steps below to manage your e-mail addresses.

  • Log in to My Hosting
  • Click on ‘Diensten’
  • Click on the appropriate subscription
  • Click the “Login to the Plesk control panel” button.
  • Click on “Mail.
  • Click on the email address for which you are making the auto-response
  • Go to the Auto Answer tab.
  • Check ‘Activate automatic answering’
  • Under ‘Message Text of Automatic Reply’ , enter the text of your message
  • If desired, you can have a copy of the mail forwarded to another address
  • Check ‘Disable automatic response’ to set the end date
  • Finally, click ‘OK’ to enable the ‘Automatic Answer’
